Acknowledgment of Risks:
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have chosen to participate in hunting activities organized and conducted by 2J Outfitters. I understand and accept that hunting involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the following:
1. Firearm Handling and Shooting: Hunting activities may involve the handling and use of firearms, which can be dangerous if not used properly. I understand that I am responsible for my own firearm safety and that I must adhere to all safety instructions provided by the guides and outfitters.
2. Terrain and Environmental Hazards: Hunting often takes place in remote and rugged terrain, and may involve exposure to adverse weather conditions, wildlife encounters, and rough terrain. I acknowledge the risks associated with these factors and agree to take appropriate precautions.
3. Wildlife Encounters: The possibility of encountering wildlife, including potentially dangerous animals, exists while hunting. I understand that I should not approach or provoke wildlife and should follow the guidance of my guides to mitigate potential risks.
4. Physical Demands: Hunting can be physically demanding, requiring walking, hiking, and carrying equipment over uneven terrain. I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in the chosen hunt and will inform the outfitters of any health or mobility concerns.
5. Medical Emergencies: I acknowledge that medical assistance may not be readily available in remote hunting locations. I understand the importance of informing the guides of any medical conditions or allergies I may have.
6. Firearm Accidents: I understand the importance of following safe firearm handling practices and acknowledge that accidents involving firearms may result in injury or death.
Assumption of Responsibility:
I agree to assume full responsibility for my own safety during the hunting trip. I acknowledge that the guides and outfitters will provide safety instructions and guidance, which I will follow diligently. I will exercise good judgment and adhere to all laws and regulations governing hunting and firearms.
Release of Liability:
In consideration of the services provided by 2J Outfitters I hereby release, waive, and discharge 2J Outfitters, its guides, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, and responsibilities related to personal injury, property damage, or any other harm that may occur during the hunting trip.
Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization:
In the event of a medical emergency, I hereby authorize 2J Outfitters and its guides to seek and administer necessary medical treatment on my behalf.

CLIENT- 2J Outfitter Contract
This Private Hunter Agreement (“Agreement”) is made by and between 2J Outfitters (hereinafter referred to as (“Outfitter”) and (hereinafter referred to as “Client”). This Agreement shall be effective on the date Outfitter receives Client’s deposit and this executed Agreement and all necessary forms. The parties (Outfitter and Client), in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, now agree as follows:
Outfitter agrees to provide the following services and amenities to Client:
1. A fully guides bull elk hunt (Client initials here ____ for bull elk hunt) or
A fully guided muley buck deer hunt (Client initials here ____ for muley deer hunt) or
A fully guided mountain lion hunt (Client initials here ____ for a mountain lion hunt) or
A fully guided bear hunt (Client initials here___ for a bear hunt)
2. A trip beginning___________________ and terminating__________________, provided that the dates of the trip may change for reasons beyond 2J Outfitters control and provided further that circumstances beyond 2J Outfitters control, include but not limited to weather, governmental action, staff illness, equipment failure, or other factors, may prevent packing into or out of certain areas on certain days.
A. The bull elk and mule buck deer hunting trips shall consist of five (5) food, lodging and transportation to hotel will be client’s responsibility. Includes prior scouting in your hunt unit.
B. The mountain lion and bear hunting trips will be five (5) days food, lodging will and transportation to hotel will be client’s responsibility.
3. Transportation to and from local airport in Salt Lake City to desired location of hunt will be the client’s responsibility.
4. Loging and meals will be client’s responsibility. 2J outfitters will pick clients up in the morning from the hotel and transport them back to their hotel at the end of each day. It will be the client’s responsibility to book a hotel room close to where client will be hunting.
5. A list of suggested clothing and gear for your hunting trip will be provided.
6. State licenses and animal tag fee, taxidermy, meat processing, transportation, lodging, meals and airport transportation are NOT included in the price of the hunt.
7. Guide services, consisting of one (1) guide for each client.
8. Field dressing, quartering game, packing out games, checking in game will be included in your hunt. Client shall be responsible for the hide, cape, antlers and meeting following delivery to taxidermist and meat processor.
9. 2J Outfitters does not provide local transportation.
10. 2J Outfitters agrees to be insured and licensed/permitted as required by all relevant State and Federal registration, wildlife management and land management authorities, included but not limited to Division of Professions and Occupations Office, Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service.
Client Aggress to:
1. Pay all fees when due as outlined in the following Fee section, and timely furnish all required information by the dates established herein, including all required information for 2J Outfitters to purchase applicable license(s).
2. Hunt in a manner consistent with State laws and regulations, Federal regulations, and abide by all laws and rules.
3. Arrange for his/her own travel to and from airport and arrange his/her own lodging.
4. Bring sufficient but not excessive amounts of personal gear based upon the list provided by 2J Outfitters.
5. If born after January 1, 1949, have in Client’s possession a Hunter Safety Card.
6. Acknowledge that consumption of any alcoholic beverages or illegal substances will NOT be allowed.
7. The client is responsible for informing 2J Outfitters of health conditions.
8. The client understands that 2J Outfitters cannot guarantee the harvesting of the animal they are hunting.
Fees:
In consideration of 2J Outfitters providing the services as set forth above, Client agrees to pay 2J Outfitters as follows in U.S funds in the form of cash, certified funds, or money order:
1. The following sums relating to the hunt(s) selected by Client. A deposit shall be paid by Client to 2J Outfitter before or concurrent with Client’s transmission to 2J Outfitters of a signed copy of this agreement. All payments are non-refundable as they hold your space.
1. The balance of the fee under the foregoing two paragraphs shall be paid on or before the week of your hunt.
Cancellations and Refunds:
1. The deposit shall be held by 2J Outfitter for an on behalf of Client and applied against the total fee. In the event Client terminates this Agreement, the deposit shall be forfeited.
2. In the event 2J Outfitter materially defaults in the performance of any portion of its obligations hereunder, due to the circumstances beyond 2J Outfitter’s control including but mot limited to weather, floods, fire other acts of nature, government action, staff illness, or equipment failure, Client shall be entitled to return of the pro-rata portion of his fee for the percentage of the trip not completed.
Early Termination of Outfitting Services.
If Client desires to terminate a trip during the trip, but
prior to its completion, Client shall not be entitled to a refund of any portion of the Fee. Outfitter will
make its best efforts to pack or transport the Client out of the wilderness area. Client acknowledges that
the decision as to when Client will be packed or transported out will be in the Outfitter’s sole discretion.
Except for emergencies or situations in which prior arrangements have been made, all members of a party
are expected to pack in and out together. In the event the Client materially defaults in the performance of
any of its obligations herein, Outfitter may terminate Client’s right to participate in its sole discretion and
Client shall not be entitled to a refund of the Fee.
LIABILITY/PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE: Hunting is a strenuous activity that requires stamina and good conditioning with the use of weapons such as firearms and bows. These can produce injury. The hunter recognizes ALL RISKS, which can arise during hunting, and holds harmless, forgives, and releases and waives any claims, which he / she may have during this hunt with 2J Outfitters, or any other authorized representative of 2J Outfitters. From time to time in our modern society, disputes arise, and the hunter agrees that Utah law shall govern this contract and the legal obligations of 2J Outfitters or any other representative of 2J Outfitters. The hunter also agrees that the District Court of Emery County, Utah shall be the exclusive and soul venue for all suits that may arise out of any disputes concerning this contract and the services provided by 2J Outfitters, or any other authorized representative of 2J Outfitters. In the event a suit is filed, the prevailing party shall be entitled to their attorney fees. 2J Outfitters and / or any authorized representative of 2J Outfitters will use their best knowledge, expertise, and efforts to provide the best Outfitter / Guide Services possible. We do not guarantee conditions beyond our control, such as fire, weather, interference from other hunters and nonhunters, or the availability of game. The hunter agrees and accepts these terms. The hunter authorizes 2J Outfitters to use any Photos or Video of the hunter and / or game animals for promotional purposes.
Client has read and understands this Agreement and acknowledges that it shall be effective and binding upon Client/Outfitter and their respective heirs, successors, and assigns. A parent or guardian must sign below for any participating minor (those under 18 years of age).
Outfitter Licensing.
Outfitter agrees to be insured, bonded, and licensed as required by applicable state and federal agencies, wildlife management authorities, and land management authorities. Client
agrees and expressly acknowledges that Outfitter may work through permits secured by third party
outfitters with whom Client contracts so as to gain access to areas otherwise unavailable.
Limitation on Services.
Outfitter does not provide sleeping bags, personal gear, hunting or fishing licenses, capping, quartering, taxidermist fees, or meat processing. Client is responsible for the meat,
hide, cape and antlers after field dressing and transport by outfitter to base camp. Any communication
regarding processing shall be solely and directly between Client and processor.
Client Obligations.
The Client agrees to perform the following in relation to this Agreement:
a. Pay all fees when due and furnish all required information by the required dates.
b. Conduct itself in a manner consistent with state and federal laws and regulations and
consistent with Outfitter’s camp and other rules.
c. Purchase applicable license(s) and tags.
d. Arrange for his own travel to and from areas hunted in Utah.
e. Bring sufficient but not excessive amounts of personal gear based upon the list provided by Outfitter.
f. Refrain from consuming any alcoholic beverage during the day or otherwise until all firearms are unloaded and stored for the day.
g. Client agrees that it has hunting and firearms handling experience commensurate with the expertise level required for the services being provided.
h. Client and Client’s medical professional have determined that Client’s age and medical condition are satisfactory for the purposes of this Agreement. Client agrees to hold Outfitter
harmless for any injury or damages as a result of any pre-existing medical conditions.
i. Client agrees to practice the highest level of safety at all times and to hunt only while accompanied by Outfitter. Hunter agrees to abide by any and all rules or instructions from Outfitter that may affect safety of Client or any other person. Any breach of such rules or instructions may, at the sole discretion of the Outfitter, result in termination of the Outfitting
Services without refund to the Client.
j. Client attests that it has obtained copies of all appropriate local, state and federal game laws, fully understands those laws and agrees to abide by all such laws.
k. Client agrees to allow Outfitter unconditional use and reproduction without cost of all of Client’s photographs and videos of Hunt and Client’s harvested game.
l. Client agrees to abide by any Guide’s or the Outfitter’s instructions regarding age and class of
game.
11. No Guaranty of Harvest. Outfitter makes no warranties whatsoever that Client will be successful in harvesting any game on the hunt. Outfitter further provides no warranties concerning
the amount, size, or location of any animals. Client acknowledges that there are variables outside Outfitter’s control that may prevent Client from successfully harvesting animals, including but not limited to: weather conditions, changing migratory and breeding patterns, forage, and client skill.
Client agrees that Outfitter’s obligations are fulfilled by assisting Client to attempt to locate game, and not by the successful harvesting of such game. Client agrees to immediately compensate Outfitter for any additional game harvested by Client that is not described in the Hunt Description. An animal wounded by Client is considered a harvested animal. The judgment as to whether an animal is wounded is made by
and at the sole discretion of the Guide.
Release and Acknowledgement of Risk. Client agrees that it has read the attached RELEASE AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK.
All forms must be returned to Outfitter no later
than thirty days following submission of deposit. A Release and Acknowledgment of Risk must be signed
by each participant, and, in the event of the participation of a minor, by the minor’s authorized legal
guardian.
Release to Use Images, Video, or Photography. Client acknowledges that the Outfitter may film, video, take photographs, or use other mediums while the Outfitting Services are provided. Client hereby gives consent and authorization to Outfitter for the use of any photograph, picture, image, or video of Client and/or Client’s party in any publication, website, commercial, or other medium for or on behalf of the Outfitter. Client, for him or herself and for those in Client’s party, waives and forever releases the
ALL CLIENT RISK FORMS AND CONTRACTS MUST BE SENT BACK
We are a licensed, bonded and insurance outfitting company. We hold permitted on BLM and FS but also might be working under a third party permit under another outfitter.
Client Contract and Client Risk Form as well as 50% of hunt must be sent back before hunt can be booked.
